Christmas Morning "WALKIES"

Christmas Morning "WALKIES"

Susie explaining the rules to follow for the ranch walk! On this fine Christmas morning we have (from left to right) Goldie, Goliath, Sunshine, Rex with frisbee, April, Keller and (far right) Kika. In front are Max and Connery. Connery did not have permission for ranch outings so would ride in the ATV.

"Walkies"!

"Walkies"!

Susie gets the dogs all rounded up when she calls, "Walkies," and they're all ready! Rufus, the Jack Russel, has joined in on the walk. Max, the rough-coat dachshund in the foreground is a tough little guy; keeping up with all his big buddies!

Up the Hill

Up the Hill

The horse "muckmobile" starts up the hill while the dogs are glad to go along.

Water Hole

Water Hole

Time for a break. These old bath-tubs serve as water troughs for the horses but the dogs like to grab a drink too. From left, Susie, Wilford, Goliath, Keller, Sunshine, Goldie, Rufus, Mabel and Kika.

Cooling off

Cooling off

After a long walk, it's nice to be able to cool off if one likes with a dip!

Wilford

Wilford

Even Wilford can lead the pack sometimes! Such dainty steps...

Homeward Bound!

Homeward Bound!

Walking down the hill with the ocean in the background - what a treat!

Kika

Kika

Kika enjoys playing a lot, and after chasing balls for awhile, she's ready to come inside and relax next to her pal, Tippie.

After a long walk, the group is happy to take a well-deserved break. From left to right, Wilford, April, Tippie, Sunshine, Goliath, Keller, Mabel, and Goldie. They love sleeping in their "pack".

Visiting Yorkies, "Connery" and "Pucci" snuggle up with Chinese Crested ranch dog, "Nudie" in front of a fire at the ranch house.

"Crockett" and his little buddies!

Ranch dog, hairless rat terrier, "Crockett", hangs out in "Tator-Tot Village" with Yorkie friends.

Adorable Yorkies

Adorable Yorkies

Yorkies, "Connery" and "Pucci" lived for three weeks in Tator-Tot Village although Connery preferred the company of larger dogs and would often ride in the front of the ATV during big dog ranch outings.

"April"

"April"

"April" was not considered a very social dog when she first arrived but the pack took her in right away and she is very comfortable with other dogs now.

"Jessie"

"Jessie"

"Jessie", a husky mix, arrived just in time to celebrate New Year's Eve with the gang. He is from Los Angeles and seems to relish the fresh country air.

New Year's Eve Walk

New Year's Eve Walk

Besides Jessie, 6 month old Rottweiler, "Fatty" and his little 4 month old cohort, English Bulldog, "Bruce" have joined the pack to usher in the new year. What better way to "DOG PARTY" than a beautiful walk in the country followed by a special meal and sleep. I eventually had to let Bruce off the leash cause he is already sooo strong and he was such a good boy; clinging to his pack.
Other revelers include (from left to right) Keller, April, Wilford, Goliath, Susie, Ezra, puppy Bruce on leash, Rufus, Fatty and Jessie.

"Charlie"

"Charlie"

While "Charlie's" family were off to Yosemite, this beautiful old gal; (13 years) enjoyed her time in the country. Although she didn't go on any ranch outings, she really enjoyed lounging in the play yard and under the heaters in the barn. Her real name is "Charlotte".
