Mother lab and daughter lab, Akai and Halla, were the very first guests. They REALLY enjoyed soaking in the water trough-tubs in the flowery meadow. Goliath steals a drink too.
Some of our earliest guests, Callaloo, Hardy and Goliath enjoy the meadow overlooking the ocean with some of the horses.
"Cosmo" was one of our earliest guests and a real city-slicker. Here he is learning the country ways, watching a horse with TinkerBelle.
It didn't take Cosmo long to get down and dirty and WET! He loved to hang out with the horses and soak in their water bowls.
Baby Davy "CROKETT", a hairless rat terrier lives at the ranch. He takes on not only the squrriels but the biggest dogs too! Although he is supposed to be "the great hunter", so far the only prey he has bagged is a potato-bug!
From top left clockwise;
Cisco, Crockett, Nudie, Tinkie, MooShu and Levi in front. Our "TatorTot Village" is an area for tinier dogs. They sleep in an insulated, cozy, warm bedroom with an attendant. Tonight it is Susie
Louie, the saddle-bred, checks for any leftover alfalfa in the back of the "muck-mobile while Ezra takes a driving lesson.
Nightie leads Goliath and Steel while Jackson, the Jack Russel, hangs back. The little legs on the far side of the horse belong to our mini-horse, Maddie. The beautiful rider is rodeo champ, Lauren Carse, who keeps not only her dogs with us but her rodeo horses as well. She is riding Klondike.
Wilford, the Great Dane, is SUCH a gentle giant. He has been a repeat guest several times and we just adore him. Nightie, whom I consider a somewhat large dog ...looks on.
Grand daughter, Marley, takes a lesson with Lauren and Susie as Wilford and Steel look on.
Susie raises the umbrellas in the play yard every morning. On this day she is helped by tiny Crockett (on the left..looks like a speck), Rufus, the Jack Russel in front, Bosco, the grey muzzled old-timer lab, Connors, a big black lab, our ranch dog, Goliath, the gorgeous Pilloux, a Rhodesian ridgeback and of course, Wilford! The biggest and the tiniest sometimes even play. It is so cute!
Cyndy lets out Connors, Samantha, Josie, Roman and Goliath. Even though Goliath can sleep up in the ranch house, he prefers to sleep in the heated barn with all his buddies!
